No trip to Patagonia is complete without a tour of Los Glaciares National Park in Argentina. This tour starts from Puerto Natales and returns the same day. It offers a good opportunity to see the Patagonian countryside and you're sure to see Llamas and Rhea (ostrich like birds native to Patagonia) on the drive. Upon reaching Los Glaciares we will stop to see the famous Perito Moreno Glacier. Perito Moreno is a massive glacier fed by the Patagonian Ice Field. The glacier is quite active and you can watch first hand as large ice bergs dramatically carve off the face off the glacier into Lago Argentino. We will take our time and can have a short hike before heading back to Puerto Natales in the late afternoon.
Our full day tour starts in Puerto Natales at 7:00 am, soon we will be crossing the border between Chile and Argentina through Cerro Castillo and we start our journey to El Calafate which takes appproximately 3 hours.

During our journey we will spot local fauna such as guanacos (Patagonian llamas) and ñandúes (Darwin's rhea). We will take a quick stop in El Calafate before continuing our adventure for another 80 Kms to Los Glaciers National Park.

The Perito Moreno Glacier is one of Argentina's most important tourist attractions and a sight to behold. Unlike most glaciers around the world this one is still advancing and you are sure to see the giant ice bergs calving off the glacier and dramatically crashing into Lago Argentino.

We will head back to Puerto Natales in Chile in the late afternoon. Our estimated arrival time is at 10:00 pm.
